I love dealing with companies that are run by a family. Family members are proud of their company and have put their money, blood, sweat and tears into their business, creating something special that we all can enjoy. That is what makes Easton Country Club a special place to play golf.
Easton Country Club is owned by the Lombardi family and it has always had a reputation as a championship track with private club conditions. I recently played Easton and found the course was as lush and green as I had remembered: a remarkable feat when you consider we are experiencing a severe drought. On many of the holes I saw the grounds crew hand-watering tees to keep everything up to the Lombardi family standards. The greens were like a pool table, fast and smooth.
Easton is a very flat course so if you enjoy walking this is the course for you. There are four sets of tees ranging from a total of 6,512 yards from the back to an enjoyable 5,271 up front. There is a grass practice range near the first tee so you can warm up a bit before you tee off. After your round stop in the lounge for a post round meal and drink. If you are considering venues for a business outing or a wedding, Easton can help you with all of your needs. Easton Country Club does all of its own catering and has two rooms available for your party and can host up to 200 people for your celebration.
Easton has a number of specials posted on their web site at Eastoncountryclub.com. I always enjoyed playing golf with my son when he was a junior golfer. Easton offers a family special on Saturdays and Sunday’s between 2 and 4 P.M. where one adult and one junior can tee it up for only $38.00 A great deal for a little bonding on the links.
Over the years I have played Easton with members who are always exuberant in showing their pride in their home course. The pride and hard work of the Lombardi family has created a very special place for golfers of all ages. You owe it to yourself to make a visit soon.
