Live on a Bucket List Golf Course

All of us have bucket list destinations we aspire to play in our lifetime. What if we actually lived in one of these cherished places. One thing for sure, we would have an endless list of requests to come stay and play. Here are a few of these places and what it would take!

*Augusta National Golf Club Augusta Georgia (Just a Dream)

Number one on everyone’s bucket list is a place we can neither live nor in most cases, ever play. Besides the 10 cabins at Augusta National, the most famous being the Butler and Eisenhour cabins, there are no privately owned residences to be bought for any price. Augusta National continues to acquire immense amounts of commercial and residential property surrounding the course with their billion-dollar war chest, the last was a shopping center on Washington Street.

St Andrews Scotland The Old Course

The Old Course is at the heart of the Links Trust and part of a family of six public courses, three of which are well over 100 years old. Around 200,000 rounds of golf a year are played on the Links. The Old Course Hotel overlooking the 18th green has a 2-bedroom flat in Kohler’s Hamilton Grand Golf Place for just $2.2 Million.

Pebble Beach Cypress Point California

Home of the “Annual Clambake(The AT&T Pro Am) is by far very high on all our bucket lists, and a place every one of us would love to play.  This area is the only part of Pebble Beach with oceanfront real estate, which stretches from Cypress Point all the way to Pebble Beach. Best to bring $10 Million to $30 Million.

Pinehurst North CarolinaCarolina Village

Pinehurst dates back to 1895. A total of forty-two golf courses can be found in Pinehurst and the surrounding areas, offering an abundance of outstanding golf real estate. And if you don’t live on a fairway in Pinehurst, you are a short golf cart drive from one. Condos from $300,000 to golf course homes over 3 Million.

Shinnecock Hills Golf Club Southampton New York

Shinnecock Hills history of “firsts” is enough as the oldest organized golf club in the U.S. (1891), the oldest clubhouse (1892), and membership that has always been open to women. Having hosted five U.S. Opens already places Shinnecock Hills in rare company. To live here be prepared to pay Southampton prices! 3 Million to 25 Million.

Seminole Golf Club in North Palm Beach Florida.

If you have the “panache” for the Palm Beach life then this could be your home.

Donald Ross seemed to have the ability to bring a little bit of his native Scotland to every course he designed. Seminole Golf Club‘s relatively treeless and sweeping terrain gets buffeted by persistent Atlantic breezes. 3.5 Million to 30 Million.

TPC Sawgrass Ponte Vedra Florida

TPC Sawgrass is one of the finest and best-known country clubs in the world. TPC Sawgrass Club first opened in 1980 and is home to the PGA Tour Headquarters, as well as two championship Golf courses. The TPC Stadium Course, which is currently rated #1 in the State of Florida, first opened in 1980 and is home to the The Players Championship.  $230,000 up to more than $2 million.

Innisbrook Palm Harbor Florida

Every March the PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship is hosted by Innisbrook on its famed Copperhead course. The Copperhead is one of the resort’s four outstanding courses–all designed by noted architect Lawrence Packard. Kapalua Resort Maui Hawaii

In general, Hawaii is a bucket-list destination for golfers, but if I had to narrow it down to one specific location, it would be Kapalua Resort. The Coore /Crenshaw-designed Plantation Course offers ocean views from elevated tees like no other. The other course, at Kapalua, the Bay Course, doesn’t exactly lack in the scenery department either. Condos from 1 Million, Homes From 5 Million
