Founder of Women’s Golf Day (WGD), Elisa Gaudet will join women leaders, top executives, founders and innovators at the annual Forbes 30/50 Summit celebrating International Women’s Day March 6-9, 2023.
Taking place at WGD host venue, Saadiyat Beach Golf Club Abu Dhabi, UAE, the event celebrates the Forbes 30 Under 30 which has become one of the world’s most important honors for young entrepreneurs and leaders.
Global media coverage of the Summit in 2023 will herald a new list, the 50 Over 50, which showcases how, for women, experience, wisdom and leadership mean that success no longer has an expiration date. Mika Brzezinski and MSNBC will highlight Forbes and Know Your Value 30/50 Summit in Abu Dhabi. WGD will also share highlights from the Forbes 30/50 on social media and feature individuals and campaigns throughout women’s history month. Follow them on IG / FB / LinkedIn @womensgolfday.
“I am excited to return to Abu Dhabi to meet with so many accomplished and influential women responsible for change and constantly striving for more,” comments Gaudet. “The fact that Saadiyat Beach has hosted Women’s Golf Day and here we are a few years after the inception of WGD celebrating women from around the world and their accomplishments on International Women’s Day is just astounding. I have to pinch myself and acknowledge the power of community and collaboration.”
The global line up pulls from an incredibly broad field and includes icons such as former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, activists including Gloria Steinhem, as well as Jessica Alba, ballet principal Misty Copeland, Billy Jean King, actress Catherine O’Hara and Olena Selenzka the First Lady of the Ukraine.
“The opportunity for women and girls to grow their network through golf has never been more important,” concludes Gaudet. “The interest in golf amongst women is increasing as is the number of female participants. Our locations understand this and know that by becoming a WGD host location they are creating a simple pathway for female non-golfers to pick up the sport and to encourage existing golfers to get more involved.”
This year, WGD is a weeklong celebration thus offering venues and participants more chances to take part than ever before. Locations can host an event on any day from May 30th to June 6th.
