Starting in Australia and finishing in French Polynesia, events are taking place across the globe today in celebration of women’s and girls’ golf.
Women’s Golf Day, the global movement that engages, empowers, and supports females through golf, is an annual one-day sporting and community celebration taking place today – Tuesday, June 7!
WGD was founded by Elisa Gaudet in 2016. Now in its 7th year, WGD unites people across the globe through golf. Starting in Australia and ending in French Polynesia, events will take place for 24 hours straight.
The tournaments provide a basic and accessible platform for developing a lifetime golf foundation and skills. It establishes a network to encourage women to continue playing golf, regardless of their skill level or interest, while also involving them in an empowering program that has a global influence. The event transcends race, gender, religion, language, geography, or economic status.
