Dennis Pines.
Dennis Pines is a par seventy-two, seven-thousand-yard championship golf course that is situated on 170 beautiful acres of pine forest land in the Village of East Dennis. It was designed by Henry C. Mitchell and has been opened since 1966, offering one of the toughest layouts on Cape Cod. Throughout the course, water comes into play on four holes, and the twelfth hole specifically is recognized as one of the most difficult par fives that you will encounter! Dennis Pines features a practice green, expansive driving range with all-weather mats, prepaid advance tee times, a complete pro shop, as well as tournament planning and golf lessons.
Highland Links.
Highland Links is one of Cape Cod’s oldest golf courses, and one of the most scenic as well! It is located in North Truro and is one of America’s golf treasures, perched along the windswept bluffs overlooking the Atlantic directly next to the vintage Highland Light. Highland Links was founded circa 1892-1898, and the original “Highland House of Golf Links” was part of an ocean and cottage resort that was operated by a small family in Truro. Back in the day, this golf course was promoted as “2000 yards around… in attractiveness not equaled in the New England coast.”
In 1955, the links were refurbished by owner, Hal Conklin, and Highland Links ultimately became Federal property in the 1960’s. Today, Highland Links presents 2,644 yards of golf for a par of 35 through nine holes. Highland Links also offers the opportunity for golfers to join one of their ongoing leagues, or even start their own if it is of interest.
